He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Hale (Gooley); and his parents, Ralph Hale and Sadie Hale (Smith). He is survived by: his sons, Robert (Nancy Hale), Gary (Lynn Hale) and Ted (Michelle Hale). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chelsea Soldiers' Home, Patient Activity Fund, 91 Crest Ave. Chelsea MA 02150 Attn: Superintendent's Office.
