It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Newell Stever of Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on January 26, 2021, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Stever and Lillian Stever of Binghamton, NY.; his wife Shirley E. Stever; his sisters, Grace Moryl, Nellie Mitchell and Helen Ellenberger; and his great grandchild Noel Alexis Young.
He is survived by: his daughter Dona Dicks (Richard Dicks) of Fayetteville, NC; his grandchildren, Kimberly Senecal (Joseph Senecal) of Charleston, SC., Jay Young (Natalie Young) of Fayetteville, NC., Russell Dicks (Stacey Dicks) of Austin, TX., Doug Dicks of Fayetteville, NC. and Holly Lackey of Albemarle, NC.; his niece Virginia Trotter; his great grandchildren, Emily Senecal, Dayton Senecal (Savannah Senecal), Holden Senecal, Savannah Young, Alexis Young, John Grant Young, Katlyn Sellers and Chance Lackey; and his great great grandchildren, Jace Senecal, Miles Senecal, Christopher Sellers and Willow Sellers.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to VFW, and other Veterans memorials.
