He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Funn Black; and his siblings, Toney H. Black, Jr., Henry Black and Marie A. Pettus. He is survived by: his sons, Thad R. Green, III (Sherry), Forrest E. Black, Jr. (Lisa) and Elder Toney B. Black, Sr. (Gwendolyn); his siblings, Estine Peters and Lamont Black; and his brother-in-law Horace Funn (Evelyn). He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
