She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Edward Tate, Sr.; her parents, Florence Pope McGinnis and William Calvin McGinnis; her son-in-law John Michael Thomas; and her grandson John Michael Thomas II.
She is survived by: her children, Kay Thomas, David Tate (Janice) and Charles "Eddie" Tate II (Tammy); her grandchildren, Ashley Dupont, April Jennings, Cody Tate and Katelyn Tate; and her great grandchildren, Grace Dupont, Rylan Jennings, Oksana Dupont and Colin Jennings.
