He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Doretha Crowder Baker of Marshville, NC and Elebie Baker; his brothers, Ellis Baker and Paul Baker; his wife Diane Rushing Baker; his children, Demetrius Baker of Concord, NC, Michael Baker (Tanya) of Concord, NC, Terrance Huntley (Aneta) of Wingate, NC, Kimberly Baker of Concord, NC and Karissa Cash (Brandon) of Concord, NC; his siblings, Calvin Baker of Concord, NC, Phillip Baker of Charlotte, NC, Mable Redfearn of Marshville, NC, Geretha Parker (David) of Monroe, NC, Edith Crowder (Melvin) of Marshville, NC and Claire Marsh (Carl) of Marshville, NC; his aunt Ollie Mae Little of Trenton, NJ; and his uncle Henry Crowder of Charlotte, NC. He was also cherished by grandchildren, (17) great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
