He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Herndon Reid and Frances Barnhardt Reid; and his wife Penny Cooke Reid. He is survived by: his brother R. Benjamine Reid (Jennie Lou); his uncle Ralph A. Barnhardt; and his aunt Polly Barnhardt Rusk. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
