George Blackwelder Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Blackwelder of Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on January 29, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lee Blackwelder and Alice Wade Blackwelder; his wife Ruth B. Blackwelder; his siblings, Arthur Lee Blackwelder, Grace Sechler and Johnsie McGee; and his great grandchild Carter Todd Whitson.
He is survived by: his children, Todd W. Blackwelder (Joyce) of Asheboro and Terri B. Killian (Jim) of Harrisburg; and his grandchildren, Jacob Blackwelder (Meagan) of Moab, UT, Travis Blackwelder (Carlotta) of Aiken, SC, Samantha Whitson (Chad) of Asheboro and Justin Davis (Elizabeth) of Randleman. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
