She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Carter and Mary Joyner Carter; her husband J. C. Kepley; her siblings, John Carter, Robert Carter and Kathleen Hess; and her grandson Daniel Jay Kepley.

She is survived by: her brother Tootsie Carter of Concord, NC; her nephews, Bruce Kepley (Beth) and Steve Kepley (Pat); her niece Angela Kepley Thompson; and her son Jorge Laguna. She is also survived by four children, 9 Grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
