She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter A. Lippard and Ethel Huntley Lippard; her husband Max N. Lackey; her siblings, Max H. Lippard, Walter Lippard Jr. (Bud) and Betsy Lippard Brady; and her son-in-law Mark Bunn.

She is survived by: her children, Kyra Lackey Bunn of Concord, Lyn Lackey (Kelly) of Kannapolis and Alison Lackey Yandle (Bryan) of Concord; her grandchildren, Jesse Beam (Ashley) of Concord, Toni Beam of Charlotte, Rev. William Van Wieren III (Megan) of Kernersville, Katherine Aldridge (Charlie) of Salisbury and Sarah Lackey of Chapel Hill; her great grandchildren, Mya, Cora Hope and Charlie; her sisters, Diane L. Caldwell (Ken) of Concord and Janet L. Mayse (Mike) of Burlington; and her siblings-in-law, Sylvia Lippard, Joyce B. Lippard and Leon Lackey (Margaret). She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her sisters and brothers.

Gloria Hope Lippard Lackey, of Concord, passed peacefully into the Lord's hand on Friday March12 surrounded by her children after a long courageous battle against Parkinson's Disease.
