It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James B Franklin (Concord, North Carolina), born in Aiken, South Carolina, who passed away on April 5, 2020, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Franklin and Queenie Franklin; his wife Mamie Catherine; and his son James Edward "Boot" Franklin. He is survived by: his daughter Doris Marie (Concord); his grandson Wesley James; his siblings, David Randy of Concord, Clarence "Gabby" (Eva Mae) of Concord and Hattie Mason of Hartford, CT; and his nieces and nephews, Denise Pharr Peay (Kannapolis), Tony, Harriet Franklin (Kannapolis) and Gary "Hummy" Black (Concord). He is also survived by 15 children.
