He was predeceased by: his parents, S. A. Waters and Ruth McIntosh Waters; his brother Robert; and his daughter-in-law Andrea Waters. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bost Waters; his children, Pam Waters Icard (Mark) of Harrisburg, Scott Waters (Timisha) of Concord and Todd Waters; his grandchildren, Luke Icard, Matt Icard (Karsynn), Jared Waters, Caitlin Waters Broome (Adam), Kiristan Waters (Ryan) and Brittney Waters; his great grandchild Lawson Icard; his nephew Michael Waters (Tonya); his son Marshall; and his pets, Lilly and Mitzi.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 789, Concord, NC 28026 or toward construction of The Center of Hope (homeless shelter), Salvation Army, PO Box 511, Concord, NC 28026.
