She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Oral Thornton and Virginia Bird Thornton; her sisters, Nancy Goddard, Norma Jean Richardson and Ina Lee Hill; and her granddaughter Kathryn Wright.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen White (Doug) of Elkins, WV; her siblings, Maggie Turley and Forrest Thornton; her grandchildren, Debbie Baker, Jennifer Knapp and Brandan White; her great grandchildren, Adrian Ike, Colin Ike, Avery Kathryn Knapp, Elliott Ambrose Knapp, Emery Grace Knapp and Ann Reese Elizabeth Knapp; and her great great grandchildren, Ava May Ike and Colin Ike, Jr.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
