He was predeceased by: his sister Shirley Ann McClendon. He is survived by: his wife Lanita Bost Rucker; his children, Lametta Rucker of Kannapolis and Gerard L. Rucker (Brianne) of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, Maya Rucker, Maryen Miller, London Rucker and Gavyn Rucker; his siblings, Etheleen Williamson (Jeff), Mary Helen Williamson (Kenneth), Darlene Leazer (John N.) of Salisbury, Rosa McKiver of Concord, Michael Kibler (Brenda) of Maryland, Terry Lee Rucker (Janice) of Harrisburg, NC, Lowery Donnell Rucker (Wanda) and Robert Lee Rucker, Jr. (Jacqueline); and his close friend Eugene Barber of Kannapolis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
