He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl Davis Hudson and Roy William Hudson. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kindley Hudson; his daughter Wanda E. Hudson; his siblings, James "Jim" B. Hudson, Jack L. Hudson, Betty V. Little and Helen L. Mabrey; his granddaughter Amanda F. Upchurch (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Emma and Grayson Upchurch.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bright Light Baptist Church, 960 Old Charlotte Road SW, Concord, NC 28027.
