It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Carson Jr. of Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on November 1, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lee Carson, Sr. and Pearlina Elizabeth Rice Carson; and his siblings, Thomas Miller and Clara Mae Miller Norman. He is survived by: his son Montea Grier, Sr. of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, Montea Grier, Jr., Matai Grier and Layla Grier; his stepdaughter Albertine Miller; and his niece Sharon Gray (Ronald) of Charlotte. He is also survived by three step-grandchildren.
