He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Rary and Phyllis Rary; his grandparents, Clara Lambert, Everette, Frankie Lambert, Vernell and Pearl Rary; and his grandchildren, Erika Walsh and TJ Carpenter.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Cloe'; his wife Rita Hall Rary of Concord; his pet Penny Ann; his sons, Josh Walsh (Keisha) of Concord, NC and John Rary Jr. of Kannapolis, NC; his sister Janice Rary Swaringen of Concord, NC; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Cloe Walsh and Emma Rary. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
