He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest L. Untz and Lillie Pearl Ballard Untz. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Cline Untz; his children, Rebecca Cray (Pat) of Matthews, Gail Johnson of Concord and Joseph "Joey" Untz, Jr. (Lorrie) of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, Natalie Cray, Corey Cray, Hayden Untz, Lindsey Daniels, Joseph Johnson and Cole Johnson; and his great grandchild Elliot Daniels.
