He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Alexander Hartsell and Bonnie Chalmer Hartsell; his wife Nadine Brooks Hartsell; his son Randy Dale Hartsell; and his siblings, Boyce, Jay Lee, Lance, Gary and Cornelia Alexander.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Hartsell, Debbie Hartsell Davidson (Julian) and Beverly Hartsell Macon; his grandchildren, Michael Hartsell, Samantha Bassinger, Brooke Bassinger, Kaitlyn Macon and Corin Macon; and his siblings, Juanita Huneycutt, Betty Dennis, Colleen McEachern and Ernest Hartsell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
