He is survived by: his children, Heather Newkirk of Riegalwood, NC, Monica Coleman of Iwakuni, Japan and Tab Eugene Hunt of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Shayla Newkirk, Tania Simpson, Monique Simpson, Drequan Munn of Riegalwood, NC and Tiazjha Holloman of Charlotte, NC; his great grandchild Peyton Brown of Riegalwood, NC; his siblings, Arvonia McWilliams of Harrisburg, NC, Curtis Rogers Miller of Charlotte, NC and Michael Cannady (Inez) of Concord, NC; and his close friend Marshall Neipert. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
