It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lathran Mae Helms of Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on January 9, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George "Buck" Long of Washington and Mable Lucille Presley Long; her husband Terry Cleo "Chub" Helms; and her siblings, Becky Shue, Rick and Levard Long.

She is survived by: her son George "Skip" Long (Kelly) of Concord; and her sister Darlene Stegall (Terry) of Concord. She is also survived by six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one niece; eight nephews; and multiple great-nieces and nephews.
