He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert William Phillips and Willeen Nesbit Phillips; his wife Agnes Ritchie Phillips; and his son Pfc. He is survived by: his siblings, Dewells Phillips, Calvin Phillips, Fred Phillips and Joyce Phillips Thomas; his siblings-in-law, Peggy Ritchie and Clyde Ritchie; his daughter Vada Phillips Lee (David) of Indian Trail, NC; his grandchildren, Bryan Lee (Krista), Philip Lee (Hilary) and Deanna Lee; his great grandchildren, Wylder, Porter, Mandolyn, Henry and Millie Lee; his sister Bonta Phillips Kee (Jimmy); his siblings-in-law, Hubert Ritchie, Harold "Butch" Thomas and Deon Ritchie; and his nephew Mike Phillips. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
