He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew McCrary Nixon and Artissa Burnham Nixon; his wife Nadine Chamberlain Nixon; and his brother Andrew Stark Nixon. He is survived by: his sons, Bob Nixon (Dale), Wayne Nixon (Kay) of Concord and Robert Sisk of Raeford; his grandchildren, William Nixon (Shane), Ashby Nixon, Hollis Nixon and Edie Barnhardt (Matt); his great grandchild Nimet Calis; and his sister Virginia Walker of Jackson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
