She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Alfred and Margaret Harrington Stroud; her husband Robert W. Saunders; and her son Bobby Saunders. She is survived by: her son Jeff Saunders (Elaine) of Salisbury; her daughter-in-law Mary Lou Saunders of Myrtle Beach; her grandchildren, Justin Saunders (Sara Westfall), Amy Trieglaff (Carl) and Ann Baker (Roland); her great grandchildren, Trevor, Madison Trieglaff, Megan, Allison, Logan and Samuel Hale; and her brother James Michael "Mickey" Stroud (Pam) of Raleigh.
