She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas E. Patterson and Mary Belle Patterson Patterson; her husband T. L. Short, Jr.; her grandchildren, Joshua and Madeline Self; her grandson-in-law Johnny Munson; her siblings, Nellie P. Aycock (Fuller), Sarah Patterson, Peggy P. Lassiter (Alvin), Shirley P. Hanford, Billy, Glenn Sr. (Louise), Perry (Fran), Linwood, Wayne and Jerry Patterson; and her siblings-in-law, Henry Berger, Ollie Short (Peggy), Virginia Patterson (Harvie) and Helen Walker (Dewey).
She is survived by: her children, Michael Short of Concord, Dean Short of Concord, Judy Moose of Concord and Angela Self (Darrel) of Kannapolis; her grandchildren, Amy Munson, Lisa Kelly (Jon), Connie Lavance (Troy), Christie Alexander (Chris), Deana Overcash (Justin), Kristen Munzert (John), Brooke Irvin (Philip), Jamie Sossamon, Mike Short (Bridgett), Kendal, Caleb, Jaxon Self, David and Daniel Short; her siblings, Carolyn Patterson Berger and Brooks Patterson; and her sisters-in-law, Elaine Patterson, Pamela Patterson and Ethel Patterson Dickerson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
