She was predeceased by: her parents, Hosea Poole and Minnie Poole; her husband Troy V. Thomas; her son Larry V. Thomas; her daughter-in-law Cindy Thomas; her grandson Corey V. Thomas; and her siblings, Bernice Evans, George Poole and Roy Poole.
She is survived by: her daughter Barbara T. Anderson (Ed) of Concord, NC; her siblings, John Poole (Shirley) of Columbia, SC and Lutrelle Brown of Lewisville, NC; and her grandchildren, Krista Volzke (Spencer) of Omaha, NE, Erik Anderson (Kari) of Harrisburg, NC and Crystal Durden of North Augusta, SC. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
