She is survived by: her parent Ann Minton; her sons, Billy Gilbert (Stephanie) of Summerville, SC and Carter Short of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Madelyn Gilbert, Liam Gilbert and Colton Gilbert; and her sisters, Tammy Middleton of Kannapolis, Penny Stubbs (Brian) of Monroe and Wendy Varner (Greg) of Carolina Beach.
