He was predeceased by: his parents, David Livingston Sigmon and Edith Simmons Sigmon; his wife Doris Parker Sigmon; his sister Margaret Smith; and his brother-in-law John Smith.
He is survived by: his son Donald E. "Rick" Parker (Jeanie) of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, Donnie Parker (Mary), Leslie Jackson (Tony) and Lisa Parker-Lomax (Spencer); his great grandchildren, Mariah, Dorion, Dontae, Maven, Alisa, Chasity, Mykah, Brianna and Autumn; his great great grandchild Jada; and his siblings, Charles Sigmon (Patricia) and Betty Thompson (Roger). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
