It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Alexander of Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on August 26, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. E. M. Ferguson and Ethel Helms Ferguson; her former husband Edsel C. Haigler; her siblings, Paul E. Ferguson, Bobby W. Ferguson and Helen Ferguson Sloop; her stepson Michael Thomas Alexander; and her siblings-in-law, David Sloop, Dean P. Ferguson, Julia B. Ferguson and Diane F. Ferguson.
She is survived by: her husband Roy Brice Alexander of Concord, NC; her children, Julie Ann Haigler of Concord, NC and Phillip DeWayne Haigler (Linda) of Mt. Ulla, NC; her grandchildren, Phillip Christopher Haigler (Kristin) of Mooresville, NC and Carrie Haigler Smith (James) of Concord, NC; her great grandchildren, Lillian Marie "Lily" Haigler, Brooklyn Kate Haigler, Miles Christopher Haigler, Kelsey Christine Smith and Alexander James Smith; her siblings, Becky F. Blackwell (Herman) of Kannapolis, NC, Jerry D. "Smiley" Ferguson of Deltona, FL and Rev. Harry T. "Trooper" Ferguson (Judy) of China Grove, NC; her sisters-in-law, Ellen Ferguson of Concord, NC and Wanda M. Ferguson of Concord, NC; and also Lisa Studioso. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
