She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Clyde Furr and Viola Smith Furr; her husband Willie C. Helms, Sr.; her son Wayne E. Helms; her stepchildren, Phyllis Brawley and Willie C. Helms Jr.; and her siblings, Clyde Furr, Robert Furr, Henry Furr and Mildred Lowder.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara King (Steven) of Concord, NC and Ronda Kayi Ashby (Ray) of Salisbury, NC.; her grandchildren, Marie Davis of Kannapolis, NC, Crystal Allie (Lee) of China Grove, NC and James Dulin of Charlotte, NC; and her great grandchild Kristopher Sherer of China Grove, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
