He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Carter and Trilby Carter; and his stepson Stephen Dale Bolick. He is survived by: his brothers, Painting and Floyd Lee Carter, Sr.; his wife Shirley Brown Bolick Carter of Concord; and his sister Trilby Diane Foster (Gradon) of China Grove. He is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews.
