He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dewey and Evvie Lena Lyles Fisher; his wife Margaret Nell Barrier Fisher; and his brothers, James Albert Fisher and Daniel Baron Fisher.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Fisher (Arlene) of Kannapolis, Jerry Fisher of Charlotte and Gaynell Collins of Kannapolis. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and extended family.
