He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Hoagland and Gertrude Maybee Hoagland; his wife Ruth P. Hoagland; and his son Jeffery Hoagland (Bonnie). He is survived by: his children, Laurel J. Granger (Johnny) of Concord and Timothy M. Hoagland (Renee) of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, Jennifer Druck (Daniel), Aaron Smith (Randi), Matthew Smith, Andrew Smith, Amanda Smith and Olivia Hoagland; and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Noah, Natalie, Gerald and Nicholas.
