He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Rettinger and Bessie Paulus Rettinger; his wife Wileen Underwood Rettinger; and his brother Jim Rettinger. He is survived by: his daughters, Nina Coughlin (Mike) of Greensboro, Rhena Glenn (David) of Asheboro and Teresa Rettinger of Concord; his sister Betz Matter of Alabama; his grandchildren, Nikki Callicutt (Jeff), Andy Coughlin, Daniel Coughlin and Chris Coughlin; and his great grandchildren, Lauren Callicutt, Taylor Callicutt and Kathyryn Callicutt.
