He is survived by: his son Stafford Wayne Garland III (Janet); his granddaughter Barbara Garland Hillie (Thomas); and his great grandchildren, Madelyn Selander, Cohen Torrence, Raqi Garland, Noelle Wiggins, Erynn Davis and Mason Flake.
