She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Roosevelt McCain and Deserie Young McCain; her husband James Lewis Gabriel; and her brothers, Richard Young and Reginald McCain.
She is survived by: her sisters, Jacqueline Reid of Kannapolis, NC, Joyce Alexander of Concord, NC and Janice Shankle of Kannapolis, NC; her aunt Martha Brooks of Concord, NC; and her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Barnette (John), Anna Gabriel, Janet Gabriel, Paulette Watson (Michael), Michelle Gabriel, Shallona Gabriel, Ruby Pearson (Bruce), Betty Bennett, Walter Gabriel (Linda), Irvin Gabriel (Faye), Fred Gabriel, Jr. and Rayvon Gabriel. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
