She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill and Clara; and her former husband James "J. T.". She is survived by: her husband Allen Lawrence; her children, Ashlie Miller (Chad) of Concord, Dustin Hughes (Michelle) of Clyde and Paige Tennant (Adam) of China Grove; and her siblings, Sherry Welch (Steve) and Bill. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren.
Willene and Allen were just settling into their membership at Central Baptist Church in Kannapolis before the recent pandemic hit.
