He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Carl Lester Devine and Dora Elizabeth Devine; his significant other Muriel Irene Faulkenbury Devine; his brothers, Harris Devine of Timmonsville, SC and Glen Devine; and his sister-in-law Betty Devine of Summerville, SC..

He is survived by: his children, Lu-Anne Devine Troutman (Charles) of Harrisburg, NC and David K Devine (Christy) of Concord; his granddaughter Katy Devine Curie (Tim); and his great grandchildren, William Curie and Xavier Curie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
