He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank DeVries and Anna DeVries; his wife Barbara DeVries; his son Benjamin DeVries; and his brothers, James DeVries and John DeVries.
He is survived by: his children, Franklin DeVries (Cathy), Luanne "Lucy" DeVries and Geoffrey DeVries (Ramsey); his grandchildren, Cameron, Tabby, Asher and Ezra; and his siblings, Linda Blokzyl, Ann Schoelier, Susan Henry, Alberta Harris and Charley DeVries. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
