He was predeceased by: his parents, William Christopher Hope and Grace West Hope; and his siblings, Torrence Hope, Alva Hope, Edith Seavers, Dorothy Wood, Ruby Smith, Aline Barefoot and Betty Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Kennedy Hope; his daughters, Nerissa Hope Nelson (Mitch) of Monroe, NC and Christie Hope Chadborn (Barry) of Concord, NC; his grandchildren, Donald Nelson (Julie), Jason Nelson (Ashley) and Cameron Chadborn; his great grandchildren, Rylie Nelson, Addisyn Nelson, Judah Nelson, Angel Nelson, Sky Nelson and Pearce Nelson; and his former wife Miriam Crawford Hope Dye.
