He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Moses and Velma Owens Whitehurst; and his sister Polly Peaden. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Whitley Whitehurst; his sons, Bennie (Michelle), Travis (Ronna) and Jeff (Nichole); and his grandchildren, Devan, Chase, Noah, Caleb and Eli.
