He was predeceased by: his parents, Beck Pettaway and Sudie Mae Heath Pettaway. He is survived by: his wife Earlene Pettaway; his children, James Pettaway of Conetoe, NC, Jeanette P. Adkins of Conetoe, NC, Brenda Stokes of Tarboro, NC, Jessianet Wishop of Conetoe, NC and Jacqueline P. Haywood of Tarboro, NC; and his siblings, Beckton Pettaway of Atlanta, GA and Catherine Pettaway of Conetoe, NC. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
