She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Knox and Martha Knox of Hassell, N. C; her husband A. B. Carlisle; her son Jerry Wayne Carlisle; her grandson Jason Lee Carlisle; and her siblings, Gail Knox, Bill Knox, Earl Knox, Mack Knox and James Briley.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Lou Newell of Conetoe, NC and Bobby Carlisle (June) of Conetoe, NC.; her grandchildren, Judy Caton (Phil) of Stokes, N. C., Crystal Carlisle of Dover, DE., Amy Dixon (Brian) of Conetoe, NC, Ashley Carlisle of Greenville, NC, David Newell (Lawanda) and Robin Whitaker (Kevin); her great grandchildren, Phillip Caton (Hannah), Brian Caton (Kimberly), Julian Burgess, Cooper Dixon, Austin Dixon, Jayden Newell and Jacob Newell; her great great grandchildren, Carson Caton, Landon Caton, Caleb Caton and Harper Caton; and her brother Harry Knox (Carolyn). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
