He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henson and Peggy Laws Henson; and his sister Paula Laws. He is survived by: his daughter Sara Henson; and his siblings, Ronnie Henson (Geraldine) of Conover, David Wayne Laws (Starla) of Burke Co and Tammy Henson of Lenoir.
