It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ila Goodman Vanhorn of Conover, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on January 24, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie W. Goodman and Ida Clark Goodman; her husband James "Jim" M. VanHorn; and her siblings, Glen Goodman, Carroll Goodman, Thelma Eckard and Sandra Isenhower.
She is survived by: her daughter Jamie Scarbrough (Gene); her grandchildren, Ashley Sears (Dave), Angela Pinder (Erik), Erica Whitener (Adam), Amanda Coburn (Jason) and Trent Pace; her great grandchildren, Lyndsey Sears, Katy Sears, Meliah Potter, Bryant Coburn, Cody Coburn, Alex Pinder, Addie Pinder, Emma Whitener and Eli Whitener; and her siblings-in-law, Jean Goodman of Conover and Horace Isenhower of Conover Numerous.
She attended regularly up until Covid.
