He is survived by: his wife Brenda Austin Cooke; his children, James Cooke Jr. (Tammy) of Conover, Jody Cooke of Claremont, Virginia Cooke Farris (Tim) of Valdese and Billie Cooke Walker (Brian) of Hiddenite; his siblings, Billy Wayne Cook of Granite Falls and Brenda Huffman (Kenneth) of Shelby; his grandchildren, Courtney Cooke of Hickory, Austin Cooke of Texas, Gleason, Anna Lee Cooke of South Carolina, Ashley Farris Powell (Derrick) of Valdese, Haven Farris, Addie Farris of Valdese, Breah and Briley Walker of Hiddenite; and his aunt Hazel Shore of Hickory.
