It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maryann Blackmon McRee (Conover, North Carolina), born in Alamance, North Carolina, who passed away on January 27, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Julia King Blackmon and Roy Baxter Blackmon; her husband Rudy McRee; and her sister Betty Blackmon Wright. She is survived by: her brother Tom; her sister-in-law Theresa Blackmon of Mebane, NC; her sister Frances (Buck); her siblings-in-law, Bill Smithey of Stanley, NC and Carol McRee of Conover; her nieces and nephews, Mark Blackmon, Dale Smithey, Terri, Debbie and Susan Harman; her close friends, Cindy Daniel, Nancy Greene, Carolyn Pritchard and Melinda Long Travis; and her pet Bobo.
Maryann's wishes were NO flowers, but requested any memorials be made to Concordia Lutheran Church, 216 5th Ave SE, Conover, NC 28613.
