He is survived by: his wife Frances; his son Michael Griffin, Jr. (Holley); his grandchildren, Kinsley and Jensen of Newton, NC; his son Matthew Willson Griffin of Conover, NC; his sister Catherine Falls (Ronnie) of Kings Mtn; his aunt Joan Reinhardt of Hickory, NC; and his uncle Jack Whisnant of Conover, NC. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law.
