It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rupert Samuel Taylor of Conover, North Carolina, who passed away on March 5, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rupert Sherrill and Mary Christopher Taylor; his former wife Beulah Sue Stallings Taylor; and his siblings, George Taylor, Nelson Taylor, David Taylor, Betty Williams and Shirley Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Stout Taylor; his children, Rupert Wayne Taylor of Statesville, NC, Tim Hartsoe of Hickory, NC, Doris June Hartsoe of Catawba, NC, Sandra Mecimore of Hiddenite, NC and Wendy Seals of Conover, NC; his siblings, Jerry Taylor, Julie May, Dorothy Hammer and Becky Adams; and his stepchildren, Michael Pitts, Wanda Omley and Diane Brague. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, a number of step-grandchildren and many other cherished relatives and friends.
