He was predeceased by : his parents, George Dick Newton and Joyce Marie Newton (Wells); and his brother William Newton. He is survived by : his daughter Shelby Marie Newton of Norfolk; his siblings, Burl Newton (Sharon), Walter Newton of Nags Head, Alexander Newton (Holly) of Stoney Creek, VA and Alice Slaughter of Dewitt, VA.; and his granddaughters, Makayla and Maleyah.
