She was predeceased by: her parents, Evan Thomas Ricketts and Lila Freeman Ricketts; her brother Paul Ricketts; her stepmother Bertha Starling Ricketts; and her stepbrother Richard Honeycutt.
She is survived by: her son Vernon "Buddy" Brewer, III (Peiwen); her grandchildren, Victoria Brewer of San Carlos, CA and Archie Brewer of San Carlos, CA; her brothers, Benjamin Ricketts of Wadesboro and Earl Ricketts of Wadesboro; and her stepsister Shirley Harward of Peachland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 3373 Country Club Rd., Wadesboro, NC 28170.
